Where innovation takes flight.

Team Edhitha is a student team at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, that designs, builds and flies autonomous aircraft. Our work is aimed at search and rescue: drones that can survey an area, find people and deliver help without a pilot.

Founded in 2011, we have flown at SUAS in the USA almost every year since. We won it in 2015, the first Asian team to do so, and in 2026 we won NIDAR in India, ahead of 350+ teams.

IARC 2026 · Mission 10

Built to fly together.

At the International Aerial Robotics Competition on 12 August 2026, a team of lightweight autonomous aircraft had to cross a simulated minefield on their own.

The mission

Survey. Identify. Map.

No pilot. The aircraft survey the field, spot the threats, turn what they see into a map and work out a safe path through.

Three runs · one step closer

Cleared proof of autonomy.

Four of the seven teams did. Our closest run finished with one mine left in the path. No team completed the full mission this cycle.
