Over weeks of brainstorming, designing, and testing, our team proudly built a custom Thrust Rig to bring precision and insight to UAV propulsion testing. This setup isn’t just a test bench, it's a launchpad for data-driven design.
The thrust rig was engineered to test motors, batteries, and ESCs under controlled, repeatable conditions. With an integrated sensor suite, we now measure key parameters like thrust output, battery voltage, current draw, and ESC performance all in real-time.
But we didn’t stop at hardware. Alongside the rig, we developed a custom-built user interface that automates testing, monitors parameters live, and compiles results into clear visual graphs and spreadsheets. Whether it's comparing motor efficiencies or identifying thermal limits, our UI makes analysis seamless — perfect for iterative design and documentation.
From optimizing flight time to selecting the right powertrain for specific mission profiles, this thrust rig now forms the backbone of our UAV R&D process. It's a leap forward in how we evaluate performance, minimize failure, and push the boundaries of what our drones can do.
